Movin on Up!

The girls are constantly begging for new gymnastics leotards.  I have a hard time justifying one, but I made them a deal.  Each time they test up a level, I'll spring for a new leo. I only decided to make this deal recently because they are at the point now where testing and moving up is a big deal and hard to do.  Many, many, many hours of practice are involved.   Well, here are their newest leotards.

Hallie tested up to level 3 last month after finally learning her back bend kick over.  We were all starting to think it wouldn't happen.  And then, one day out of the blue, she got it!  It completely changed her attitude about gymnastics.  She was ready to quit.  It was difficult for her to see Nadya test into level four when she was still struggling with testing into level 3.  She did it!  We were so proud.  The other night I had a conversation with her that just melted my heart.

Me:  How was Gymnastics?
Hal: Great!  Why?
Me: Because it wasn't that long ago that you were wanting to quit
Hal: That was before I believed in myself!

MELT MY HEART!  So proud of her!

Nadya picked out her leotard, with drama of course! Girls......  sigh... She apparently picked out the one that Hallie had her eye on, but the two of them worked it out and Hallie decided to wait until a new shipment of leos came in.  Nadya had tested from level 4 to level 4 team so I owed her a leotard and decided to get it for her on a night that she forgot to take a leotard to school, and they were due to put in an order so there were only a few leos to choose from.

I can't believe how much they have changed, 

grown and excelled in the last two years.
