Funny Tidbits & Conversations to Remember

On St. Patrick's Day I walked into the bathroom and discovered  a mess.  Dirt in the sink, marker smeared on the counters, the stepping stool tipped over, and a couple of the cupboards open. I responded to the mess by saying, "Who made this mess in here?" In which Carter replied, "Maybe the Leprechauns?"   I laughed.

Alex earned a special prize from his star chart.  He chose sea monkeys.  On the way home from purchasing the little sea monkey kit, he anxiously started reading the box.  He learned that they could live up to two years.  I told him they would probably start to stink before then and we would probably have the throw them out.  To which Alex said, "Why  would they stink, they are in water?  They don't need a bath!"

Two nights ago I snuggled with Carter while  he was drifting off to sleep.  Our bedtime routine is pretty simple.  Teeth, two books, 3-5 minutes of snuggle time, prayers and then I leave.  During our snuggle time Carter clasped his hands together and begin to pray in a whisper.  "Please Lord, take away my dreams.  Have Mercy. Amen"    So sweet.  Apparently he had been having bad dreams but he didn't mention a thing to me.  (Although he has been crawling into my bed more than usual )  I loved that he turned to god for comfort and help.
