Meet Licky!

Carter has been working hard earning stars for his behavior chart.
Each night he has the opportunity to earn three stars for his chart.
One for using nice words, one for using a nice voice and one for going to bed well.
Truthfully, he has always been pretty good at bedtime, but
I wanted to make certain he was earning at least one star a day.
So, the bedtime star was really a gimme.
Using a nice voice and nice words were definitely not.
Carter is going through a "I don't nap and I don't really understand what to
do with all this tiredness" phase.
Fun, fun.
So, his star chart was to try and help him make better choices when he was tired.
I would remind him about his nice voice as opposed to his whiny, loud voice.
It helped mostly
He had to earn 50 stars and then he could pick out his prize.
He decided on a fish and considering we had an old tank I thought, why not.
After he earned his stars he took it upon himself to clean his tank.
I took it out of the closet and he immediately asked if he could wash it.
He scrubbed away happily for a good thirty minutes.
I couldn't believe how sparkly clean it looked!
He did a great job!

So, we picked out his fish.
We chose a Beta Fish and Carter named him Licky.
We brought him home and introduced him to his new tank.

Carter feeds him every morning.
Three pebbles.
|He is very responsible about it and usually does it before I remind him.

So, the question is............
Will I be hearing less of his tired, whiny voice??????
I guess we shall see...............
Fingers Crossed!!!!
