Cedar City- Last Day

We checked out of our hotel and headed to Panguich Lake so Doug and the kids could do some fishing.  I opted to stay in the Van where it was much warmer and finish my book.

Pretty soon, I had a van full of kids and Doug was fishing with just Alex.
Apparently, he is the only cold weather fisher-kid!
So the kids watched a movie while I read my book until all the sudden the TV turned off.
Nadya informed me that the screen said low battery and then died.
Crap!  All the sudden the Car Alarm went off and the Van would not turn over.
We had only been watching the movie for about ten minutes, so the thought of
starting the car hadn't crossed my mind.  Luckily for us, the Department of Wildlife  just stopped to check on Doug and ensure he had a current fishing license so he was able to jump our Van.
Phew!
And, Eventually Alex and Daddy returned from fishing and were being rather secretive
about whether or not they caught anything.  Doug later admitted that Alex did indeed
catch a Rainbow Trout, but considering the kids were all in the Van ready to go he did not want
them all piling out of the car to see the fish so he told Alex that it was their little secret!

We stopped for lunch at a park in Panguich and Alex was able to show us his catch.  He was quite proud of himself and Doug showed him the proper way to hold a fish.
Nice Catch Alex!

(The boys enjoyed eating the fish for dinner that night!)

The kids played for a while and burned off some energy before the trek home.

I think this weekend wore them out.
It really is, just a guess though!
Carter brought his piggy bank along for the trip.
Above he is pictured fast alseep in the car, protecting his bank with his arm.
Too cute!!!!!!
