We opted not to go our usual Santa for pictures this year. Our usual Santa is a wondeful experience, but her prices have gone up each year. But, if you have little ones, I wouldn't do it any other way. She brings Santa to her home and you schedule an appointment with him. You don't wait very long at all, and she is a professional photographer so she has the ability to swap heads and what not to get that perfect shot.
These are from 2007
(I have 08 and 09 too, but these are already on my harddrive)
So, so worh every penny when your kiddos are little. (Have you waited in line to see Santa with little ones? Not my idea of fun!) We decided that this year the kids were old enough to smile and look at the camera and maybe we could time it so that we didn't wait in line for an hour and could do our own photos and save some money. But then I had a hard time locating a Santa that would allow you to bring your own camera. Most locations at the mall ask that you do not bring your camera. Which, wouldn't be so bad, but you definitely overpay for low quality images!Argh..... I was just starting to regret my decision when a friend posted on facebook that Santa would be at our local Elementary School for a fundraiser from 2:30-5:30. Yay! We showed up at 2:30 and only had one person ahead of us!
First we took a group Photo-
(Alex is in a not smiling stage.)
Then he spoke to the boys about what they wanted for Christmas.
Carter wants a Beyblade Metal Fusion Super Vortex Battle Set and Alex asked for a remote control car with a spy camera attached. (He has previously talked about wanting a lap top or a wii. Geez.)
Next the girls talked to Santa about their wishes. Nadya wants an IPOD Touch and Hallie wants a camera like mine (in her dreams), but would settle for an IPOD Touch too. Santa explained that he would do his best and asked that they be happy with what ever he brings them.
And of course, he gave them all a Candy Cane too!
Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much for supporting our little fundraiser! I am always so impressed by your little family, you and Doug have raised some great kids!
