The first graders at Carter's school have the amazing opportunity to perform in their school version of The Nutcracker. This was their 19th year performing and it is definitely a cherished tradition. The gym was packed! There wasn't an empty seat and several people were standing on the sides of the aisles. I had remembered how "big" of an event this was after learning my lesson last year with Alex. I showed up an hour early and had to settle on row five. Gees!!!!! But it was worth it!
Carter was The Nutcracker Prince and he was fantastic!!!!!!!!!
He came home a few weeks ago very excited to have been chosen as the Nutcracker Prince. Each year the Nutcracker Prince gets to add his name to the inside of the hat. I think it's safe to say this is hat #2 as there were not 19 signatures on this particular hat.
"Nutcracker, Nutcracker, where are you?"
"I'm right here Clara!!!!"
"How do we get there?"
"Take My Hand!"
"Clara, Can I have this Dance?"
"Thank You! Thank You!"
Carter had many more speaking parts which I did record,
but I am only posting a few.
I could just eat his cherry cheeks!!!!!!
Carter came home super excited and was definitely bit by the acting bug. He is wanting to be in another play so I guess we will start looking after the Holidays.
Our thirteen year old brown eyed beauty. She is our curious one who will bombard you with a milllion questions. She is as sweet as candy and as slow as molasses. You can usually find her with her IPod in hand arranging social outings with her friends.
Our fourteen year old Russian Princess who is the "Mother Hen" of the bunch. Don't let her fool you. She'll come across as shy, but she is just as loud and talkative as her youngest brother!
At nine years old this boy is a complete Momma's boy. He has a sweet and sensitive side to him even though he can come across as all boy. He reads everything he can get his hands on and spends way too much time on his IPod.
This eight year old has an adorable face and big blue eyes which make him irrestible. One coversation and you'll be hooked. This kid started talking in full sentences at 18 months and hasn't quit. He is an Aries, has a stubborn side and is loud.
