Red Rocks

Nadya was lucky enough to be a floor runner (along with a few others from her gymnastics's team) for a University of Utah Red Rocks Gymnastics Meet!  She was extremely giddy to have been chosen. (Pure luck, all team members entered in a drawing and she was selected). The girls were instructed to wear their warm up clothes with their hair  pulled back as if for a meet.  Nadya requested a particular hair do; two french braids that wrap back into a bun.  It turned out well.
We  arrived early and she had the opportunity to head behind the scenes for pizza and drinks with her team before the meet.
Opening Ceremonies
Getting the audience all fired up!
They passed out mustaches to mimic co-head coach Greg Marsden.

This was a big meet!
Number 1 Ranked Utah against Number 4 Ranked Georgia!
Nadya was hopeful that she would get to assist on floor and once again, she lucked out!
The Red Rocks were slightly behind before the last rotation, floor.
The Red Rocks are excellent on floor.
In fact they are ranked first on the floor nationally.
They always come together in a circle formation and say a little chant prior to floor.
"Who rocks the house?
I say the Utes rock the house and when the Utes rock the house,
they rock it all the way down!"
Nadya basically took the score cards from the judge, changed the score and flashed it for the audience.
No one expected two 9.95s on floor.  One right after another!  The crowd went crazy!!!!
As usual, the Utes took care of business on Floor and pulled off a win!
197.15-196.95
After Hallie and I walked down to find Nadya and her teammates.
They each received trading cards.
It was a memorable night for us all, especially Nadya!
