It was cloudy all day and a couple of our guests canceled as a result, but right at sunset the clouds opened up and we got a good 15-20 minutes of viewing time. You can't see Venus with my measly IPhone pic, but I didn't have a filter for my good camera so I made do. I put my glasses over the lens of my IPhone and snapped this one. Not a great image, but it is still proof that the clouds parted!
We had fun posing for pictures while we waited for the clouds to part.
This picture makes me laugh!
And while I didn't get any good pictures of the actual transit, there were plenty on the Internet.
This one was taken while the sun was setting over the Great Salt Lake.
We should have had our party there!
It was so cool to think that we were actually seeing a Planet during the daytime.
It also gives you some perspective on how large the sun is!
