Early = 5:30AM in the Johnson Household....
However, two smart girls decided to just take a sneak and went back to bed for
about 30 more minutes.......
Sweet, aren't they??
A sneak peek into our living room after Santa left. Notice the Santa (actually it is Father Christmas) on the coffee table. He even left some Russian candy. I am certain it was because we left him Russian Cookies! Nadya was excited to have a taste of Russia!
Santa was good to the kids this year. Hallie got her Pixo studio that she asked for, Carter received his "vehicle that he can ride in" and Alex got Zhu Zhu pets. Nadya was a bit disappointed to see a fake puppy instead of a real one even though I told her many times that Santa makes toys not puppies. But, she perked up and was very happy with her fur real puppy and has already begin making clothes for him!
Carter was also very happy to receive a pair of sketchers. He put them on and told us all how fast he can run with them and proceeded to run around the house. Cute boy! Alex really enjoys his light/draw projector that he received too. It is a kids size projector that projects an image onto paper and he can trace it. The kids have all enjoyed this present!
Each year the kids received chocolate gold coins in their stocking from Santa. This year, they got a cute sock purse full of 25 gold coins. Real, gold coins! Not something I would do...... But, definitely something their Uncle David would do! They were soooo excited about these!!!!!!!! The played with them all day and kept counting their money. David was very smart and made sure they each had a different president so they would always now which ones belong to who. Very clever... Only catch, he was a "Secret Santa" and didn't want the kids to know it was from him. He spent Christmas with us this year and wanted to spoil them, but didn't want them to expect it. Can you tell that he has raised five kids??? (No worries, the kids never read my blog)
The girls were pleased as they received clothes and boots! A sure sign that they are getting older! Boo!
The girls were very excited to open season tickets to
The Lady Utes Gymnastics!
complete with an extra ticket to trade off bringing a friend!
Doug wrapped a huge box and filled it with bricks and I Slowly made my way down to a small
package with a key to the shed.
We made our way out to the shed to discover.......
A Treadmill!!!!!!!!
*disclaimer-I did not ask for a treadmill, therefore I do believe this was a gift for my husband in disguise! But, in the 3 weeks since Christmas I have grown to love my gift. Although, I am still in favor of moving it downstairs and out of our bedroom!
In addition to his my treadmill, Doug also received air tools to go with his new air compressor to finish the basement. He opened the nails for the biggest air gun and then when he opened the brad nailer he was really confused. I teased a little and told him I thought I had bought the right nails for the brad nailer (when infact they were for his big framing nailer that he would open later) Doug was laughing because I bought nails that were about 10 times the size I should have. So, with each box, the air gun were a little bigger until he got to the framing nailer. It was funny! The girls even wrote a personalized note on the box telling him to get to work on Hallie's room! They are so ready for their own rooms! (which, BTW it worked as Doug is downstairs working away on Hallie's room as I am posting!) He ended up with a staple gun, finishing nailer, brad nailer, and framing nailer. Everything a guy should need, right?
Carter decided it was time to try out his Jeep!
So glad the weather cooperated!!!!!
He looks pretty good in a jeep!
We made our way down stairs for some family Guitar Hero fun! Santa brought
Guitar Hero 5 as a family gift!!!
Such a fun game!!!
And, the craziness of Christmas was all worth while! Would you just look at that hug!
Melt my heart!
That last picture is PRICELESS!
