Alex Got Glasses!!!!!!! And They're Adorable!!!!!!!

Alex's teacher sent a note home a few weeks ago wondering how long it has been since we have had Alex's eyes checked because she noticed he was struggling to read the board.  So, I designed my own little eye test at home, in which he failed, miserably.

So, I scheduled an appointment to have his eyes checked and sure enough, he needed glasses.  The eye doctor said this has probably been going on for a while as he only seeing about 20/80 -20/90.

Alex was thrilled to be getting glasses and ran from the chair back to the office to select his frames.  He had  to have a particular pair of frames that had lighting bolts on the the side.  Plus, they were sketchers.  Another plus in the mind of a six year old.  I couldn't believe how excited he was to be getting glasses.  That night when I tucked him into bed he told me he couldn't wait until his glasses were ready!

We picked up his glasses and had them fitted.  We left with his glasses and his new case and Alex was loving his new vision!  He told me it was like things were up closer and when we were watching TV he commented that the people on TV no longer look like cheese blobs.  He has been very good about wearing his glasses and taking care of them.
I opted for transitional lenses and Alex is thrilled with them!
I was a bit worried about the sun with his sensitive blue eyes
but the transitional lenses have been great!

I think he is adorable in glasses!

Don't you?
