Mother's Day Recap

The kids spoiled me with
presents they made at school!

Hallie's Poem-
Roses are Red
Violets are blue
You make me smile
when I am with you.

Carter made a hand print dish towel
with a recipe booklet.
The kids all wrote about their
favorite food that their mom makes.
Here is what Carter said-

My favorite is my mom's Crab!
I've never watched her, so I don't know how she makes it.
It's just good especially the spikey kind.

(Side note- Doug ALWAYS makes the crab.
But, Carter does LOVE it!)

Nadya's class didn't make anything but she gave me a card
wishing me a Happy Mother's Day and told me I
didn't have to do the dishes.  (And she did the dishes all day!)

I also got these:

They fold up nicely for easy storage when
they are not being used.
They match our patio furniture nicely.

And the kids also got me a trailer- gator.

It will be perfect for Alex who likes to ride alone,
but sometimes we get into a situation where
we are not comfortable with him riding solo.
(Like on a busy street, or going up hills he can struggle)

We have one for Carter, but it just turns our bike into a double bike and it does not allow him to ride alone, he has to stay attached to us.

We had my parents over for dinner
and the kids ran through the sprinklers,
ate ice cream and jumped on the trampoline.

So, here is a short list of what
I have been loving as a Mother of 4 lately-

*Gymnastics Meets- love-hate relationship
*Soccer Games (when it is warm)
*Boys who go to sleep all by themselves. Luv that!
* All kids can dress themselves. (When did THAT happen?)
*No diapers or bathroom assistance needed mostly.
*Kids who wake up and watch cartoons so that I can sleep in. Dreamy!
*Letterboxing!
*All kids can get in the car and buckle themselves up!
*The boys have become quite the team.  So cute together!
*The girls play nicely, mostly.
*Boys who actually swim at the pool as opposed to hanging on me for dear life!
*Family Bike Rides.
*Mondays with Carter.  (last year for that.  Boo Hoo!)

Yes, most days I love being a mom!
Most Days!
