Labor Day Weekend

We were hoping our Labor Day Plans would include Lake Powell,

but our boat wasn't up for the fun.

Luckily, we did get our boat fixed in time to take a break from tiling

and enjoyed a great day at Utah Lake.

My ENTIRE body ached from tiling,

the rest, (even though I didn't think I'd have the energy to get packed) 

the rest was a welcomed change.

As Usual- These guys were fish!!!!

Literally!

This Guy...  Not so much....

He got in the water briefly, but spent most of his time watching and assisting.

The girls tubed their little hearts out!!!!!!

It was a pretty mellow ride until they got a little demanding...

Using their hands to signal Doug to snake through the water.....

Okay, you asked for it!!!!!

Don't blame us if you fall off!!!

Or expect us to "Cut it" just because your bottoms are about to  um sort of,  fell off.

Sisterly Bonding.......

It didn't take long before Carter wanted in on the action

Only I didn't want to go fast enough, so Hallie had to take over.

Faster, Faster!!!!!!

And do those Snake Thingies too!!!!

Does this make us bad parents?

Carter LOVED the tube and went entirely too fast for my comfort!!!!

The girls both wanted to try skiing.

They were unsuccessful last year.

After a bit of debating, Hallie volunteered  to go first.

And after a few attempts, she got up!!!!!!!

And skied for about 30 feet before she got overly excited and fell forward.

Nadya was literally kicking with excitement and was ready to jump overboard.

Her competitive nature was not about to let Hallie show her up.

So, she just put her skis on and popped right out of the water.

Just like a pro!

A pro with really bad form and a huge smile!!!!!!

 She didn't really stand up for quite a while.

She skied like this for at least 100 yards before she finally understood

our "stand up" charades.

She skied and skied and skied..... 

Unlike Hallie though, she fell backwards in excitement.

She got right back up and skied again though!!!!!

It was a great day at the Lake!

We are looking forward to going again next weekend!!!!!!!
