Valentine's Day

We only had to make 2 Valentine's boxes this year! (Woot Woot!!)
Nadya didn't have to make one as they celebrated Valentine's Day with the sock hop,
and of course they don't bother with them in Junior High so Hallie was off the hook.
I was thrilled with the idea of just making two!
I saw a cute idea on Pinterest, and we adapted it a bit and
made an adorable monster box for Carter.
Alex made his  box completely by himself using duct tape, play-dough and foil.
He made an alien type monster.
(The alien lived on top of the box and the box was his home.)
I was thrilled that he wanted to do it independently
and happily gave over all control!
I also pinned a bunch of fun Valentine ideas and let the boys pick out which ones they wanted to do.
Alex initially opted for a "Valentine You Rock" but we couldn't find pop rocks for a decent price and I couldn't justify spending twenty dollars for Valentine treats, so he went with his second choice.  Nadya handed out the same treats as Carter but with all the sock hop hoopla,
I neglected to get a picture.
The boys' class party happened to be during the sock hop so I snuck in quickly to take a picture or two and showed up when they were exchanging valentine treats.
That night we made Valentine sugar cookies.  They were amazing!
Thanks for the recipe Steph!
