Conversations to Rememer

So, Alex had his first soccer game of the season.
He did great!
No more pushing him to play, he couldn't wait to get back in.
As he was playing, I noticed his shoe was untied.
He never came over and asked me to tie it until he tripped over it,
and lost his shoe.
On the way home in the car this was his comment:
"I knew my shoe was untied, but I was hoping one of the other
players would trip over it so I could get the ball."

LOVED that he was thinking strategically, but we did have a conversation on how to play nice.
Gotta love his effort though.


While making sock puppets at the kitchen table the other day Alex announced that he had a girlfriend.
What?
A girlfriend!
Of course, Nadya wanted to know who and Alex said it was a secret when Carter announced,
"Autmun?"
To which Alex said yes.
Then Carter said, "ah, HA! I figured it out!"
He was so proud of himself!
