Misc. October Part 1 of 2

We started October off with a birthday......
Dad's Birthday!!!
For his Birthday Weekend, Doug took Laurance and Carter up to Strawberry Lake for the night!
We went on a scavenger hunt for Witches at Gardner Village!!!
Carter lost his very first tooth!!!!!
It wasn't even THAT loose.  I just think he really wanted it out!
He woke up in the morning after having a friend sleep over and just pulled it out!
Alex lost another tooth too! I've lost count, but I think it's tooth number 4!
Pretty soon he'll be singing, "All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth!"
October wouldn't be complete without Witches Night Out!
We had such a great night and the weather was perfect!!!
I let the girls join us this year and they had a blast!
Kris and I took the boys to Wheeler Farm for all the Fall activities.
It included a corn maze, hay ride, and picking a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.

Doug took an entire week off of work over UEA (Fall Break) and we had a "staycation"
"We" golfed twice and "he" golfed almost everyday!
We also took advantage of the weather and got in a few hikes.

SILVER LAKE
DONUT FALLS
After hiking two days in a row, Doug and Alex were up for more!
They (along with John and Laurence) hiked the 3 miles up to Lake Blanche.
Doug took all these pictures with his NEW IPhone 4S.
The camera in that phone is awesome!

Utah Lake

These pictures go with my Misc. September post,
but I forgot they were still on my computer.
As you saw in the video the girls are LOVING skiing,
Even when they fall!

Aunt Misty took Alex for the day,
so he is not pictured in any of our photos.
Carter had a blast- as always!
Dad and His Girls!

Our trip ended suddenly when the weather took a turn for the worse.
We hunkered down in the cabin of the boat until the storm blew over.
We came out to this.
A Double Rainbow!
It was beautiful!!!

Misc September

I woke up one morning to find this......
Melt my heart!
I am used to finding Alex curled up with a good book,
but this is a new phase for Carter.
A phase I hope will stick around!
He is really turning into such a good reader.

Nadya had an impacted tooth and had to have it surgically exposed.
(Top Left)
They attached a hook to her tooth and her orthodontist will be slowly
pulling it down and hopefully it will cooperate.
They have about a 90% success rate for kids her age, so we have our fingers crossed!
She did really well with the entire procedure.

We bounced back to Lagoon and had a great time.
We were able to get on ride after ride as we didn't have to fight the crowds or wait in any lines!
It was great!
We went boating again at Utah Lake and while I did take some great pics,
I also took video!!!!!!
Nadya is getting entirely too good!!!!!!
And Hallie too!

I made 36 pints of Salsa and Canned two bushels of peaches/Jam.
Alex was my big helper making jam.
He liked peeling the peaches after I blanched them.
