Killing Snails and Buzz Cuts!

Last weekend Doug mentioned that one of his customers told him hair clippings kill snails.
So, next time I cut the boys' hair I should throw the clippings in the flower bed.
On Father's Day I was in the house and Carter came in and proudly asked,
"So, Mom.  How do you like my hair?"

I Gasped.
Carter just cut a huge chunk of his bangs extremely short!!!
Carter exclaimed,
"What?  I was only tryin to kill a snail and it didn't work!"

I couldn't help but laugh.
But, how on Earth do I fix this??

The next day I took both boys in to see Beth, their barber.
The boys had been BEGGING for buzz cuts and pretty much
refused to get in the chair unless they could get them.
So, I made them a deal.
They could get buzz cuts as long as we start growing them out the next day.
They agreed.
Alex went first and picked out a style.
       Before:                                                           After:
(He was in need of a trim, that's for sure!)
Look at his expression as he is seeing his hair for the first time!

He LOVED it!
I think it made him look older!

Carter requested the same style but with more spikey thingys!  (His words exactly!)

Before                                                            After

I think he looks younger and meaner!!!!!!!
But they are both still adorable and they will be great summer dos!

♥ Valentine's Day at School February 12th ♥

♥ Valentine Boxes ♥

I wrapped the boys' boxes and then
they put on the sticky hearts.
The girls made I-Pods.
They were simple and cute.
My kind of project!

I wrote Alex's name in fancy lettering
and then Carter wrote his own.
I was impressed with how well he did.

♥ Valentine Cards ♥

The Boys signed all their cards!

Nadya, Alex and Carter's Cards♥

But Hallie was willing to do these-

(much cuter in person.  A picture of a picture does not do it justice!)

They were as easy as 1,2,3!

Thank you Shannon, for the idea!
Of course after we finished them all the kids wanted to do them, but I didn't have time.  You Snooze you lose!
Hallie said her cards were a hit!
