Misc September

I woke up one morning to find this......
Melt my heart!
I am used to finding Alex curled up with a good book,
but this is a new phase for Carter.
A phase I hope will stick around!
He is really turning into such a good reader.

Nadya had an impacted tooth and had to have it surgically exposed.
(Top Left)
They attached a hook to her tooth and her orthodontist will be slowly
pulling it down and hopefully it will cooperate.
They have about a 90% success rate for kids her age, so we have our fingers crossed!
She did really well with the entire procedure.

We bounced back to Lagoon and had a great time.
We were able to get on ride after ride as we didn't have to fight the crowds or wait in any lines!
It was great!
We went boating again at Utah Lake and while I did take some great pics,
I also took video!!!!!!
Nadya is getting entirely too good!!!!!!
And Hallie too!

I made 36 pints of Salsa and Canned two bushels of peaches/Jam.
Alex was my big helper making jam.
He liked peeling the peaches after I blanched them.

Taking Donations

Why????

Because both girls needed braces within six months of each other!

Checking them Out!!

Nadya's Beautiful Smile!

The good news is that there was plenty of Halloween
candy neither of them could have.
Lucky for Us!

Guess Who Got Braces?

If you were as observant as my sister,
you would have already noticed from the
awards post that it was Hallie Jo!

Here she is enjoying her last meal with out braces.
Pizza, Crazy Bread and Mountain Dew.
Sweet Nadya bought Hallie the Mountain Dew
because she knew that Hallie is not
suppose to drink soda with Braces.

She sprinted into the orthodontist office she was
so excited to get her braces on!
Here they are with out the metal 'track' across her teeth.
She did really well while they put them on.

All Done
Hallie chose green and orange bands.

Of course she had to check them out in the mirror!
And she thought they felt funny.

It wasn't long before she hated them.
Poor thing.  They already hurt!

So she feasted  nursed on watermelon and applesauce
for a few days. She has adjusted and is doing
really well with them now.
