Before & After Blog Hop

Love these Blog Hops.
So addictive.
But then again, so is photography!

I took this photo at Church.  I take pics one Sunday a month.  My church likes to document their Sundays and all the photos are on their website each week.  We are not allowed to use a flash, so that is why I had my ISO cranked up.
I took it with my Canon Rebel XSI using a 50mm prime lens.  ISO 800  F/2.0   1/160 Sec.

Edited with Lightroom

Before After Blog Hop

Before and After Bloghop
I've linked up again because I am a sucker when it comes to editing photos.
I edited a photo from last year on the farm.
We can't wait to go back.
Go head over to Pixel Perfect and see some of the other great edits!

This was taken with my Canon Rebel XSI

I was going for a rustic, washed out vintage look.

SOOC- (Straight out of the Camera) and Edited with Lightroom

I  like this edit, but the lighting on his face makes it look a little dirty.
Any suggestions? Or perhaps it's okay considering that he is playing
with frogs in his jammies! (An oversized Iowa State T-shirt! lol)
I have Photoshop Elements and Lightroom available to 'fix' it.

UPDATE:
- I tried lowering the noise and using recovery. (Thanks for the tip)  It didn't do much, but I did try this- I used the adjustment brush and lowered the clarity on his skin.  I think it made a difference.  What about you?  I'll put them side by side for easier comparison.  The left is the last "original" edit and the right is new one.

Before and After Blog Hop

Thursday Before/After

Another Blog hop.....

I just love these!
It's forcing me to learn something new each week.
I toyed around with an older photo that I loved.
The shot itself, is not that great. A bit blah actually.  Not properly exposed.
But I love the memory of Alex dragging that shovel around and playing in the sand.
Complete innocence.
I was just learning to venture into the manual mode on my camera.
Which, of course, led to many mistakes.
But, eventually you get better.
So, this is an older one.
Far from pefect.
But, I still had fun with it.
I opted for black and white because then you can't
see all the problems with the photo as easily.

I used lightroom to adjust the color,  added a vignette
and then sharpened the eyes in Photoshop Elements-

Before/After Blog Hop

A blog I follow hosts a before and after blog hop.  You share your before, straight out of the camera (SOOC) image and then your edited image and what program you used.  I enjoy looking and learning from others so I thought I'd link up for a change.

He is so cute.
I could just eat him up!
