Alex's teacher sent a note home a few weeks ago wondering how long it has been since we have had Alex's eyes checked because she noticed he was struggling to read the board. So, I designed my own little eye test at home, in which he failed, miserably.
So, I scheduled an appointment to have his eyes checked and sure enough, he needed glasses. The eye doctor said this has probably been going on for a while as he only seeing about 20/80 -20/90.
Alex was thrilled to be getting glasses and ran from the chair back to the office to select his frames. He had to have a particular pair of frames that had lighting bolts on the the side. Plus, they were sketchers. Another plus in the mind of a six year old. I couldn't believe how excited he was to be getting glasses. That night when I tucked him into bed he told me he couldn't wait until his glasses were ready!
I opted for transitional lenses and Alex is thrilled with them!
I was a bit worried about the sun with his sensitive blue eyes
but the transitional lenses have been great!
I think he is adorable in glasses!
Don't you?
