Cedar City Part Two-

We got up bright and early to arrive in Cedar City by 7:30AM.
(I might add that no one slept well.  That crazy lodge had the heat up
so high we actually turned our AC on and it was freezing outside!)
When we arrived in Cedar City  Doug took the kids to Denny's while Nadya
and I registered for her meetand found the arena so she could warm up.

The Denny crew met up with us shortly before her meet started.

Nadya did fantastic at her meet.  I thought I videoed it all, but apparently we 

forgot to check that the red light was blinking on two of her events.

But, I did take pictures. 

More will go in my blurb book, but here are a few.

As usual- Lighting is horrible so we went outside for a few decent pictures!

After the Meet we explored Cedar City a bit.

First Stop-

The ICE Cave!

(Apparently, regardless of when you are visiting, there is always ice in the ice cave!)

Carter did not want to make the slippery climb down, so I stayed back with him.  

So there are no pictures of the inside, but there is indeed ice in there.

Next we headed to Mammoth Cave-

The kids loved it!  We didn't explore much though because we

were in no way prepared.  We stopped and picked up a few flashlights but it was

extremely wet and muddy and I didn't have any spare clothes for the kids.

Not to mention Nadya was still wearing her competition leotard and warm ups that would 

not look very pretty stained in cave mud.

But, we did go about fifty feet in.  It was perfect height for Carter and Alex, but not

a lot of clearance for bigger people.

We explored the area around the caves and the boys being boys found bugs, of course!

We walked around a bit more and decided we should get a move on it.

The clouds were rolling in and so was the thunder.

I think we left just in time-

It wasn't long before the rain turned to snow!

Nadya caught snowflakes with her tongue in JUNE!

We arrived back at the lodge with the intentions of ordering room service, but 

ended up trying their restaurant instead. (Room service was insanely expensive!)

Back at our room, we snuggled up and watched Toy Story and  the boys and I called it a night.
Doug took the girls out for a short walk.

They did not last long on their walk.
It was a long day!!!!!  But, a good one!
So we all turned in early for a good nights rest.
