Spring Soccer

Carter just finished Spring Soccer.
He was fantastic!
He  really enjoyed Soccer.
He played hard and  followed the game intensely.
He cheered when his team scored and  did an "Oh shucks"
motion when his opponent scored. (too cute)

Any tricks for keeping laces tied?
These were doubled tied and that didn't last.
He's guiding his teammates with his.... er, hands?
Carter had a great coach this year.
We discovered at his last game that his coach and his son live two streets down from us!
Carter was excited as we do not have many kids in our neighborhood.
I am not sure how we haven't noticed before!
Gosh, our mountains are amazingly beautiful!
And just because this one is too funny not to share.

Fall Soccer

I thought we were done with Soccer. Nadya had to quit because gymnastics was too demanding. Which, was really a bummer because she is/was really good at it.  Hallie, Alex and Carter quit a year ago because they were  less than enthused about going. So, I was quite surprised when Carter came home from school asking me to sign him up for Soccer.  Apparently, he had been playing soccer at school with his friends and has decided it's more fun than he remembered!  Unfortunatel, he remembered this at the 11th hour and sign ups were over and the games were starting in a few days.  I decided to call and see if I could register him late and was surprised at how accommodating they were.  They quickly signed him up and placed him on a team.  Carter was thrilled.  I am so glad he played this Season.  It is very obvious that Carter Loves Soccer!  He played hard all season long!  He follows the ball, pays attention to the game and runs hard!  He also loves to play Goalie when he can.  Carter's team went undefeated!  Go Sharks!!  The season ended and he has already asked me to sign him up again.  Which I will.  Until then, I'll leave you with a few pictures.

Soccer

Alex just finished his season of Spring Soccer.
It was very fun to be playing with all his old school buddies.
In fact, It was probably the only reason he played.
He did great though!
He ran and played harder than any other season!
Well Done Alex!!!!!!!!

Soccer or Mud Wrestling?????

Dear Recreation Center,
I realize that this is my second complaint this week, but could you please stop watering the field?
I am certain it is not necessary as the field is quite  incredibly soggy.  Unless of course, you are hoping to start mud wrestling after the soccer season.  I have attached these pictures as evidence.  I did refrain from taking pictures of my van after my muddy children exited, but if you feel the need to compensate me in anyway, I could use a certificate to get my van shampooed.
Sincerly,
Alex's Mom
PS- These first two pictures were taken at half time.  Please note the muddy legs on the last picture.

The End of Chaos....

Whoops, I meant the end of Soccer and Coach Pitch.
It's been fun, but it really makes life crazy.
Soccer has ended for Summer.
Carter has loved it.
And he plays so hard. So much fun to watch!

Alex enjoyed Coach Pitch and wants to play again this Fall.
I didn't make it to a single game.
Life of a crazy mother of four, I guess.
Dad always took him and coached first base.
(And never took pictures!)

Hallie's Team Picture
As I mentioned in an earlier post.  This is her last year playing.

So let's see- Soccer and Coach pitch are over BUT
Swim lessons for the boys start Monday.
Carter starts T-ball on Monday and Wednesday Night
and Nadya has Gymnastics 4 days a week
and Hallie has Gymnastics 3 days a week.
After the State Meet (June 18) Nadya will move up to Pre -Level 5
which means the girls will be on the same nights again!
Woot Woot!!!!!!!

Coca Cola, Cookies and Soccer

Coca-Cola

It's M.I.N.E.
All MINE!!
See it has my name on it!!

That is how I found the left over soda from small group;clearly labeled with Carter' s name.

I got a giggle out of it.
Carter was quite proud of himself.

COOKIES
Hallie's class ended their year long unit on the
50 States by making state sugar cookies.
Can anyone guess which state this is??????
(Hallie said Grandma and Grandpa better not miss this one!)

Hallie was not pleased when she woke up to a half eaten cookie.
Alex asked if he could go to school BEFORE Hallie woke up.
I wasn't sure why, but I soon discovered that he helped himself to a few bites
and wanted to clear the crime scene before a certain girl woke up.

Soccer
I finally made it to Hallie's LAST Soccer game.
She says it's her last ever.

And honestly, I am fine with that.
Our life is too busy to be carting kids to athletic activities
if they don't want to play.  Hallie wants to focus on Gymnastics
which is fine by me because I already drive to the gym 4-5 days a week.

I only had my point and shoot in my purse,
but I did at-least get a few pictures of Hallie playing this year.
Great Season Hallie!

Carter Loves Soccer!!!!!!

Carter is playing Soccer again! He loves it!

Alex decided to just play t-ball this Spring. (Pictures to come as soon as I get myself to one of his games. I am not a bad mom, just a busy mom of four who can't be at two places at once, so Daddy has been taking him)

Alex's 3rd Year of Soccer!

Alex third year of soccer is going well.  He is running more.  In fact, the coach said jokingly at his last practice that Alex actually sprinted a couple of times!   He is not a runner.  He can run, he just doesn't like to!  Alex is playing again with one of his best friends.  The game is more exciting to watch this year as it is a much faster pace.  Here are a few pictures of his last game.

Practicing before the game!

Playing for keeps!

Not quite sure what this is???

Playing Goalie!

Knuckles from the assistant coach!

Group Cheer!

and his favorite part....... Snacks!

That about sums it up.....   Our saturday is looking packed with soccer.  In fact, our morning looks like this-  Girls 9:00AM game, Alex 10:15 Game and Carter 12:45.  I guess I'll be spending my Saturday morning on the field!
