January- March Misc Iphone Pics

I cleaned off the pictures on my phone and wanted to include these on the blog.
We figured out why our bird seed goes so fast.
The boys and Nadya watched the Vet as she  Preg Checked the cows.
They found it very interesting.
She offered to let them do one, but all the kids said no.
The boys earned badges and participated in a skit at Boy's Scouts.
For the 100th day of school Carter's class dressed up like they were 100 years old.
Carter looked so much like Grandpa Hansen.
Hallie made a totem pole for Literature Class.  She is so creative!

The girls went to their Valentine Dance at school, but Doug and I had a little fun with them first.  Doug put on his old Football shirt that was a tad too small on him and said he was going too.  They refused to go if he went, so he opted to stay home. (He wasn't going to go, he was just teasing!)
 Valentine Cards and boxes.
The boxes were made entirely at school.  That was a nice change!
The boys said the kids at school are always wanting their mechanical pencils,
so this was our valentine card!
 The idea was from Pinterest.
Aunt Diana and Uncle Joe invited us up to Lake Rathbun for the day.  What fun!
All the kids were being entertained with one Ipad for a short time.

Pinewood Derby

The boys participated in their first Pinewood Derby.
They each designed, carved, and painted their cars with a little help from Dad.
Their cars looked fantastic!
Each boy scout took turns racing their cars.
It was a double elimination competition.
Alex never lost.  He took first place out of the entire den.
Beginners luck!  He was so proud!
And Carter came in 3rd!
Ironically, a distant cousin came in 2nd so it was a
Johnson, Johnson, and Johnson victory!
Both the boys are really enjoying Boy Scouts!

November Iphone Pics

I spent a fair amount of time organizing all my iphone pictures this past week.  I've learned from my mistake and I will be sorting thru my iphone pics each month this year-- or at least that's my plan.

So here is a recap of November Iphone pictures...........

I woke up to this short note, written on a napkin  from Alex.  It made me laugh.
I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get to snap a picture to document Alex's first official deer hunt.
Luckily, Doug forgot his phone so he came home to get it and I quickly snapped my picture.  :)
In all they shot five deer, which around here is a pretty disappointing number.
But, it was a good start for Alex.

Nadya broke her finger playing basketball. She had to sit out the rest of the season as a result.

Both the girls made 1st quarter honor roll.  Good Job Girls!
The boys each earned their bobcat badge in Boy's Scouts.
We had a pretty warm November.  We soaked it up!
