Uncle Joe's Birthday in San Diego

So, while the girls spent the day at California Adventures, we did some more sight seeing with Uncle Joe and Aunt Diana.  We started our morning with a stroll down the board walk.  (Well, we walked  and the boys rode their scooters.  Carter did not last long on his though so we brought the stroller.)

Alex thought the beach life was truly the BEST life, so he kept picking up the for sale fliers.  Here he is checking a couple of them out, wondering if we have enough money.  ummm....  Not in this life time buddy!  And Georgia, this picture (of Doug and Diana) is for you.  It was designed to make you jealous so that you would come next time.  Did it work?

After our walk we had lunch in La Jolla at Georges on the Cove.   If you are ever in San Diego, I highly recommend this place.  Great food, reasonable prices and the view is amazing!

After wards we explored the caves of La Jolla.  Here is an overview of where we were.

Pretty cool!  The boys loved it!  We walked down approximately 150 stairs.  It was dark and moist and smelled a little musty.  Alex walked full speed ahead while Carter wasn't too sure.  Uncle Joe hung back with him and took the steps slowly.

Waving to the Kayakers as they kayaked by us.

Afterwards we walked around the cliffs and saw seals swimming in the ocean.  If you look closely, you'll see a seal swimming close to the slimey rock in the center of the photo.

Later on that evening we had the most amazing Sunset!

We also had amazing sunsets a few other nights as well.

Carter's long, thick blonde hair makes for an excellent surfer boy.
