Nadya competed this weekend at Utah State University in the Spectrum Stadium.
Warming Up
Her best ever on beam.
9.1
Next, she vaulted and also scored a 9.1!!!!!!
(They are not allowed to vault on the horse until level 5. Nadya is level 4)
She was so graceful on the floor, as always.
And she nailed her back handspring!
(She is finally pretty consistent with her back handsprings now.
Sorry it's so blurry. It was taken with my video camera which isn't as great for pics. )
She scored an 8.95 on Floor!
She ended on bars and performed so effortlessly scoring an 8.90
The couple I sat next to kept track of the scores for all of Nadya's team so I knew Nadya was first on her team, but I wasn't sure how the other teams scored. But when they announced the 2nd and 3rd place winners and they were both from Hunts, I knew Nadya took first place all-round! I was too busy videoing to take pics, but I love technology and how you can freeze and capture an image from video.
She was all smiles!
She really had no clue it was coming.

First, out of 47 girls.
First......... 36.05 Total All Round Score!
Her highest all round score yet!

I called Doug and told him to bring her flowers, which he did!

Ironically she won by five hundredths of a point.
Remember, just a few months ago
that she lost by 5 hundredths.
Crazy.
After the meet we took a few pics.

I put together a video-
It's about 5 minutes long but it shows all the highlights.

We are so proud of you!!!!!
