Before After Blog Hop

Before and After Bloghop
I've linked up again because I am a sucker when it comes to editing photos.
I edited a photo from last year on the farm.
We can't wait to go back.
Go head over to Pixel Perfect and see some of the other great edits!

This was taken with my Canon Rebel XSI

I was going for a rustic, washed out vintage look.

SOOC- (Straight out of the Camera) and Edited with Lightroom

I  like this edit, but the lighting on his face makes it look a little dirty.
Any suggestions? Or perhaps it's okay considering that he is playing
with frogs in his jammies! (An oversized Iowa State T-shirt! lol)
I have Photoshop Elements and Lightroom available to 'fix' it.

UPDATE:
- I tried lowering the noise and using recovery. (Thanks for the tip)  It didn't do much, but I did try this- I used the adjustment brush and lowered the clarity on his skin.  I think it made a difference.  What about you?  I'll put them side by side for easier comparison.  The left is the last "original" edit and the right is new one.

  1. In lightroom try using the "Noise Reduction" tool or lowering the "Recovery." Great edit though! I love the vintage look :)
